How it works

From the planned breeding to the first year home.

One record follows each puppy through Jaro Pets, from before the puppy is born to the owner's app. Here is the path, step by step.

One puppy's path

Seven steps, one record.

  1. Step 1 · BreederBuilt

    Plan the breeding

    Choose the dam and sire, your own or an outside stud. Jaro Pets checks the pairing against the breed’s rules: breeding ages, litter and caesarean limits, carrier pairings and required health screenings. Record each mating, then confirm the pregnancy; the due date follows from it.

  2. Step 2 · BreederBuilt

    Whelp the litter

    Record the litter and each puppy’s sex, collar color and birth weight. Every puppy is registered on the spot with a lifetime Jaro Pets ID and its lineage, and gets a public record that never shows who owns the puppy.

  3. Step 3 · BreederBuilt

    Work with families

    Families come from your own list or from your directory listing. Approve or waitlist them, message each in one conversation, and invite them by email to claim their family record with their own Jaro Pets account.

  4. Step 4 · BreederBuilt

    Reserve a puppy

    Reserve a puppy for an approved family. From then on, the family sees the puppy in the owner app under Coming Home, and is emailed each puppy update you post.

  5. Step 5 · BreederBuilt

    Set the go-home date

    Pick the day, never earlier than the breed’s minimum age (eight weeks for the Cane Corso). Every upcoming go-home is listed on your dashboard.

  6. Step 6 · BreederBuilt

    Send the puppy home

    On go-home day, ownership of the puppy’s record passes to the family. You keep view access. The family’s three months of premium start the same day: the Puppy Welcome Pass, launching with the breeder app.

  7. Step 7 · OwnerBuilt

    Carry on in the owner app

    The owner tracks growth against the breed standard, the raw diet and meal prep, vaccinations, training and milestones, and shares care with family and sitters.

Every step above works in the Jaro Pets platform today. Breeders will reach steps one to six through the breeder app, which is in development; owners use the owner app, which is in testing.

Getting started

How breeders get started.

  1. Apply for early access and tell us about your program.
  2. We invite you in as the breeder app opens, with a 30-day free trial and no card.
  3. Set up your kennel, invite your team, and add your breeding dogs.
  4. Bring in your current litters and families, then work from Jaro Pets.
